Who is Jesus?
The story of Jesus is more than a story about a religious figure.
It's the story of God's love for you.
You might have heard the name of Jesus for your whole life. Maybe you've never really thought about Him. If you're curious about what Jesus represents and what He means to Christians, we're here to help you discover.
Who is Jesus?
Jesus is at the centre of Christianity. His message is the Gospel, which simply means “good news.”
In a world filled with bad news, division, pain, and uncertainty, Jesus offers good news: about who we are, who God is, and the hope that we can have in an otherwise broken and dark world.
Jesus isn't merely a teacher, a historical figure, or a good example to follow. Christians believe that He is the Son of God. He came into the world to reveal God to us, to reconcile us to God through His death, and to offer us new life through His resurrection.
Jesus Himself invites us to know Him. And knowing Jesus isn't about joining a church, or a Bible study, or simply becoming "more religious". Knowing Jesus is about surrendering your life to Him and beginning a relationship with God.
For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.

The Good News
At its heart, Christianity isn't about trying to become perfect (or "good enough"), but rather embracing what God has already done for us through Jesus.
Christians believe that no one is perfect, and our imperfection has driven us into separation from God. But God loves us, and He never gave up on us: He took steps to bring us back to Him. Jesus came to earth to live among us and willingly take on the death sentence meant for every single individual. But Jesus didn't just die; He rose from the dead, showing us that He has conquered death and there is new life to be found in Him.
This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions. Yet now he has reconciled you to himself through the death of Christ in his physical body. As a result, he has brought you into his own presence, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before him without a single fault.
Colossians 1:21-22
What Does Jesus Offer Me?
The Gospel isn't just a historical narrative, but a world-shattering revelation of how your life can change forever. Through Jesus, you can receive forgiveness, be reconciled to God, join His family, and have the hope of eternal life.
This amazing freedom is available for you as a gift, waiting to be accepted.

Knowing Jesus doesn't start once you've figured it all out. Your life doesn't need to be all cleaned up. You don't need to understand every miniscule details about Christianity. You just need to willingly decide to turn towards Him.
The Bible calls this repentance: turning away from our old ways of life. Then we have faith: putting our trust in Jesus.
If you're ready to know Jesus, here's a prayer for you to say out loud. There's nothing inherently special or magical about these specific words. It's your own honestly and intent that matters. If you pray these words sincerely, then it's the beginning of something new and wonderful.
Jesus, thank you for how you loved me and died on the cross for me. I want to know you and follow you.I believe you are the Son of God and that you rose from the dead. I believe that through you, I can be reconciled with God and have eternal life.I pray that you would make yourself known to me today, and that your Holy Spirit would come into me. I surrender my life to you.Amen.
