Nesa was born in Sri Lanka, and accepted Christ at 17 years old through a contact at Youth for Christ. Soon after, he joined the Air Force as an officer. He married Vino while serving with the Air Force. Due to the civil war in Sri Lanka, they immigrated to Canada in 1987 with their son and were shortly blessed with a second son. Tragedy struck in 2012 when their eldest son, David, died in a terrible accident. They continue to experience God’s amazing grace and comfort every day thanks to the reality of Jesus' resurrection, knowing that they will see David again in heaven.
Nesa has worked as an accountant in many ways, including through the ministry of the Canadian Bible Society for 22 years, as well as serving on the board of two other churches.
